So, yesterday was Kaye's first day of school ~ 5th grade. It's hard to believe that she's almost done with elementary school. I think she had a good day. She did come home with some fun homework though, which Kevin and I enjoyed helping her with.
Last night, Sam and I went to the school to meet his teacher, put his supplies away and get a small "orientation" for kindergarten ~ so he would know what to expect, help him to not be so nervous, etc. This morning, Kaye got him up, helped him get dressed and ready for school! I was amazed! Alex and I did walk him to school and to his classroom, but Kaye is planning on getting him after school and walking home with him. Who knows ~ maybe Alex and I will then surprise them and meet them at school?!
I am anxious to hear how his first day goes. It's definitely a little weird to not have him here. It may take a little to get used to.
