Fun at the Iowa State Fair

On Saturday, Chris and Amy Hitt (friends of ours from Missouri) came up for the weekend, picking up Sam in Clarinda on their way up. Unfortunately, Sam had gotten sick in the night while in Clarinda, but thankfully Chris & Amy were prepared with a bucket in the car for him. Of course, being sick didn't stop Sam from talking their ears off all of the way up! By Saturday night, Sam was completely back to his normal self.


Sunday morning (after Grandma Phyllis came and picked up Alex for the day) we (Chris, Amy, Kevin, Kaye, Sam and myself) headed to the fair for a day of much eating, staring at tractors, walking miles and miles and of course, much laughter. Of course, after being there for many hours, by the time we got home, we were all completely exhausted ~ just in time for Alex to come home from spending the day with Grandma Phyllis, Great-Papa Red and Great-Grandma Max!
